Listen up BMW fans – this one’s for you! We’ve got the classic BMW E61 M5 Touring going up against the new BMW M440i!
On the face of it, you may think the E61 may walk it. Powered by a 5-litre naturally-aspirated V10, it puts down a glorious 507hp & 520Nm of torque. Naturally it’s quite heavy though, given it’s the touring, weighing in at 1,880kg.
In comparison, the M440i is powered by a 3-litre straight-six with a single turbo to produce 374hp & 500Nm. However, just because it’s down on power doesn’t mean it’s out of this race! It comes equipped with AWD, launch control, and it comes in lighter than the M5, at 1,800kg.
