A knife at the museum

A knife at the museum

What happens when you put two artists, from different fields and different periods together as contemporaries?
What could they possibly bond over and collide on their opposing views about?
More so, what causes all of this to happen in the first place itself?
This imaginative endeavour created by a small kid on his visit to a museum with his mom will help us unravel this mystery and answer these questions which are so bizzare, that it’s never heard of before.

Upon mistaking the two characters in Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec’s legendary work titled “A la mie in the Restaurant”, Edlin dives into a world of fictive and whimsical poetic conversation that takes place between the very famous English singer, Ed Sheeran, and
the very legendary comic artist, Charlie Chaplin.
We get a glimpse of the dark and the bright side of both these artists while they bond over their creations as well discuss the very thing that sets them apart. For Ed, his voice is his charm, whereas for Charlie it’s the absence of the same which makes him shine.

This very wacky ride of prose is met by an uncharted interruption that causes an artefact of this still imagery to fall out of the frame into the present reality.

Was all of this a part of Edlin’s( “Edlin” ed + Chaplin here for now ) imagination?
Or not, as can be proven by the very presence of a sharp metal knife in our protagonist’s hand?
Well, some things shall remain unanswered,
For now.
